With so many passwords required online today, it can be tempting to let your browser remember them all – so that you don’t have to. However, this can be a security risk, experts say.
For this reason, the experts advise disabling password management in Edge and Chrome. As a replacement, there are password managers such as LastPass – which is also available as an extension for both browsers.
In Firefox, users can password-protect their stored credentials. This option can be found in the Preferences menu under Security. However, if you forget the main password, you won’t be able to access the list any longer.
